Asian Youth Liberty League
About US
The Asian Youth Liberty League (ALLY) is a 501 (c)(3) that is student-run. Our mission and vision is to educate young Asian Americans to be better thinkers, speakers, and leaders, so they can take the frontlines in advancing and defending the Asian American community.
Today, ALLY has chapters in ten cities: Irvine, Palos Verdes, San Gabriel Valley, Diamond Bar, Riverside, San Diego, Oakland, Dallas, Ann Arbor, and Boston.
(ALLY was formerly known as Future Chinese Leaders of America (FCLA).
What We Do
Since 2016, ALLY has organized hundreds of events. We hope the chapters can lead to positive changes in our community: spreading information about issues facing us and helping young Asian Americans become better leaders.
Speaker Events
ALLY invites community leaders to speak about their journeys and the issues they most want to bring change towards. Past speakers include Congressmembers Katie Porter, Judy Chu, and Gil Cisneros.
Workshop
ALLY hosts workshops to help develop our members’ leadership skills. Past workshops focused on skills like public speaking, speech and debate, resume building, and how to rock an interview! We try to find time for
Volunteering
ALLY also hosts regular volunteer events. These include voter registration drives, community education, and anti-Asian violence donation drives.
This work really excites us. If it excites you as well, we hope to see you at one of our meetings!
